The Birmingham Schools Competition
Every year the Debating Society holds a Schools debating competition in the Autum term. It is perfect practice to engage new debaters and help prepare debaters for later competitions, such as Oxford and Cambridge. The competition is open to pupils of all ages.

Birmingham Schools 2008 was held on the 18th October with over 30 teams from around the UK coming to the University of Birmingham to compete. The competition was held in the Guild of Students and after 4 rounds, the final was won by UCS from London.
